1) Two Nights With Dinner At The Kinsale Hotel and Spa
We're just back from West Cork and already have itchy feet to get back down there before summer's over. 2) Neighbourhood Wine Block Party Giveaway
This weekend, Neighbourhood Wine and their nearest and dearest on Upper Leeson Street and Sussex Terrace are teaming up for a block party in the sun, and get ready for this line up... Neighbourhood Wine have a list of 'rare gems' on by the glass; Dublin Cocktail Lab will be doling out 3fe Nitro Tonka Espresso Martinis and Pink Peppercorn Negronis; Forest Avenue Wine Bar will be outdoors on the BBQ with their famous Kebabs, The Sussex Restaurant are on the fish and chips, 3fe will have special 99's; Canal Bank Café are bringing the wings; and O'Brien's are on the scoops and spritz! The lounge will be open, the terrace will be rocking, and there's no need to book.
To celebrate the block party to end all others, Neighbourhood Wine & Dublin Cocktail Lab have given us a summer backyard essentials prize worth €150, full of Pet Nat, Rosé, Reds and some A-rate batched cocktails to give to one of you. 3) Gaucho Rodizio BBQ Experience, Bah 33°
We're having a bit of a moment for Brazilian BBQ right now, and the Gaucho Rodizio BBQ experience (€49.90) at Bah 33°, just off Grafton Street, has been on our list for a while after some positive reports from those in the know. It works in slots of two hours, where the food is unlimited, starting with traditional starters, free reign on the salad bar, hot dishes including Gaucho stewed beans, pampas-style rice and potato salad, and the main event - the meats (all Irish).
Servers pass through the restaurant with Picanha (rump cap), Vazio (flank), Paleta de Ovelha (lamb leg) and loads more (including smoked pineapple) and you'll end with coffee. We've got a gaucho experience for two with a drink each at Bah 33° to give away this month, and if you win this we hope you go very, very hungry.
4) €100 Voucher For The New Bar Bites Menu At Kinara Kitchen, Ranelagh
Ranelagh favourite Kinara Kitchen has just announced a weekly night of cocktails and Pakistani bar bites, with award-winning mixologist Paul Lambert at the helm. Every Wednesday from 5pm, the brand new cocktail menu will be available along with weekly changing bar bites, including lamb chops, homemade samosas and Kurkuri Machli (spicy fried fish), with prices starting at €7.95.
Paul Lambert (creator of the ready-to-drink Mr. L's Cocktails) will be on hand to bring the drinks menu to life or create bespoke cocktails to your taste, and some of the options on the menu include the Mango & Hibiscus Bellini, the Byzantine with basil infused gin and passionfruit, and a creamy Roasted Hazelnut Espresso Martini. To celebrate the launch we've got a €100 voucher to give away for a cocktail and bar bites experience on a Wednesday of your choice.
5) Food And Merch Hamper From Grumps, Foxrock
Grumps in Foxrock seems to be every southside local's favourite coffee shop, and they're gearing up for summer with a new summer menu of gelato, milkshakes and homemade slushies, as well as branded water bottles, keep cups and mugs. They've given us a hamper full of summer goodies to give away to one of you, with all the merch, a treat bag and their brand new Grumps coffee at home retail bags. Gelato, slushies and milkshakes unfortunately won't travel so you'll have to go to Foxrock to try them.
6) Butler's Chocolate Factory Tour & Hamper
We've all dreamt of visiting Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, but unfortunately that doesn't exist. What does exist is Butler's Chocolate Factory in Dublin 17, and it's just reopened for visits. You can secure your golden ticket online and see how ingredients are turned into luxury chocolates, bars, fudge, toffee and hot chocolate. The 90 minute tour includes a movie on the origins of chocolate, time to soak up the facts in the chocolate museum, a bird's eye view of the factory from a glass-panelled walkway, and of course plenty of chocolate tasting along the way. You'll finish by decorating some chocolate, before having it wrapped up to take home (if it lasts that long). We've got a pass for four people to give away to one of you this month, as well as a chocolate hamper to sweeten the deal.
7) A FitzPicnic From The 5-Star Fitzwilliam Hotel
Dublin’s 5-star Fitzwilliam Hotel has just launched their summer FitzPicnic, available to enjoy in the oasis of city centre calm that is St. Stephen's Green Park. They'll pack everything you need into a luxury wicker basket, before you're escorted there by your own hotel concierge - how posh. They'll pick the perfect spot and get you set up to sit back, relax and enjoy your al fresco picnic, full of savoury and sweet treats. It's served with a Pimm’s cocktail or homemade lemonade, and Prosecco or Champagne can be added on. The Fitzpicnic costs €45 per person or €130 for a family of four, and must be booked at least 24 hours in advance by calling 01 4787000 or emailing enq@fitzwilliamhotel.com. We'll be sending one of you off to enjoy a Fitzpicnic for two with a cocktail or glass of bubbles before the summer's over.
8) Cacao Hamper, Nibbed
Have you jumped on the cacao ceremony vibe yet? If not this could be your month. Fresh from celebrating World Chocolate Day last week, Wicklow-based artisan organic bean-to-bar producer, Nibbed, will be introducing one ATF Insider to the world of cacao, by giving away their entire range of products. They've started opening at night from Thursday - Saturday until 22:00, serving some of our favourite natural wines, as well as housemade charcuterie, cheese and paté from Old Street in Malahide.
